A Millennium Treasure, Gathering in Sanya! The inaugural (Sanya) International Development Exchange of Chinese Folk Ancient Artifacts in 2025 officially commenced today in the Coconut City. From October 3 to October 7, this cross-temporal artistic grand event will be brilliantly staged at the Red Tree Resort International Conference Center in Sanya Bay. With a triad model of "exchange + exhibition + experience," it presents a feast of Chinese aesthetics spanning from the Liangzhu culture to the Ming and Qing dynasties for global audiences.
The core exhibition area of this event showcases nearly a thousand exquisite pieces of ancient folk art, spanning nine major categories including ancient ceramics, jade ware, calligraphy and paintings, and gold-silver vessels. Among them, the Houzhu Dynasty imperial-made Chai kiln gourd vase, with its lustrous glaze, unveils the secrets of imperial kilns; the Chenghua Doucai "Chicken Cup," renowned as the "top Ming Dynasty porcelain," became the crowd's favorite. Other standout artifacts, such as the Western Zhou Dynasty dragon-patterned jade disc and the Song Dynasty Ding Kiln white-glazed pierced-ear vase, also made their debut. The organizing committee specially established an independent exhibition hall for Thangka Buddhist statues, systematically presenting the profound charm of Tibetan Buddhist art. Meanwhile, the cultural and creative marketplace introduced interactive experiences like ink painting and ceramic crafting, allowing traditional art to rejuvenate through participation.
As the "intellectual high ground" of this exhibition, the themed symposium held from October 3 to 5 will focus on six cutting-edge topics, including the financialization of ancient artwork RWA digital assets, NFT technology applications, and key propositions such as judicial "three verifications" procedures, with in-depth interpretations by industry experts. "We are committed to addressing the challenges of private collection authentication through standardization and technological empowerment," said the head of the organizing committee. The policy advantages of the Hainan International Cultural Relics and Artworks Trading Center, such as the approval system based on notification commitments and international trading rules, provide solid institutional support for this event.
At the opening ceremony, professional models dressed in traditional Chinese clothing performed a dazzling display of timeless jewelry; Guzheng elegant music complements millennium old cultural relics, creating an immersive cultural atmosphere. The series of activities such as "Dialogue with Collectors" and "Cultural Science Lecture Hall" balance the exchange of collectors and the enlightenment of aesthetic education for young people, expanding the breadth and depth of art dissemination. The relevant person in charge of Sanya Municipal Government emphasized that this event is a continuation of the "tourism+culture" development strategy, relying on the policy dividends of Hainan Free Trade Port, and will further promote the marketization and internationalization of folk art, helping Sanya to build a cultural exchange hub with global influence.
We cordially invite cultural and artistic enthusiasts from all over the world to engage in a dialogue with Chinese civilization spanning thousands of years in this golden autumn, where the coconut breeze brushes gently and the sea lingers. Through the treasures, we can touch the historical context and feel the eternal charm of cultural genes.
